Knowledge, Innovation and Creativity in Adhesives Formulation

Welcome to WinVisQ.com!

WinVisQ 6.30 is a computerized modern mathematical model for predicting the solids, viscosity, Tg and density for formulated vinyl acetate adhesive systems.

The model is  based upon basic mathematical principles as originated by Einstein and expanded upon Drs. I.M. Kreiger and T. Dougherty.  The Kreiger Dougherty Equation is accurate for rigid spherical systems but is not accurate at predicting the solids/viscosity relationship for soft deformable spheres; as are present in modern vinyl acetate based adhesive systems.  Additionally, the Krieger Dougherty equation does not reliably predict the viscosity of systems greater than the transitional rheological point of 50 % solids by volume.  Yet it is this region where most adhesive systems need to operate to perform against modern machining demands.

WinVisQ 6.30 is capable of predicting the solids / viscosity of a blend of two dispersions. two fillers, a plasticizer, a polyvinyl alcohol cook, a thickener , a humectant  and a diluent. Other parameters calculated include the density and Tg. The end result is a virtual adhesives laboratory on the Internet.
